ABOUT

Asher Ong is an aspiring traditional and digital concept artist and illustrator based in Singapore, who primarily works on posters, character design and digital illustrations. Asher is fluent in English and Chinese. He also loves creating dark, fantasy and horror concepts and ideas.

EDUCATION

Asher has taken both GCE ‘N’ and ‘O’ Levels and is currently studying Illustration Design with Animation in Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA).

INSPIRATIONS

Asher’s main inspirations are Josh Nizzi, Sui Ishida and Tetsuya Nomura. But, he still thinks that everything inspires him ultimately as he sees himself and his works as a reflection and impression on the things he experiences as he grows.

GRAPHIC TABLET AND SOFTWARE

Asher currently uses a Wacom Cintiq Pro 16 tablet, though he also sometimes uses a Wacom Intuos Pro. Most of his artworks are created in Adobe Photoshop CC.

HISTORY

Asher is a self-taught artist. He has been drawing since young and drawing has always been something he enjoys and invested a lot of time into, which helped him to improve his skills gradually. This is especially when he started taking art lessons in schools.
